Waihi Beach Lodge is a boutique bed & breakfast lodge just 2 hours south east of Auckland International Airport on the east coast The geographical location and closeness to New Zealand's main international airport makes this property the perfect location for guests starting their New Zealand trip or the last few nights prior to boarding their long haul flights. Waihi Beach is also perfectly positioned for guests to see the Coromandel and Bay of Plenty from one base. Hot Water Beach, Whitianga, Cathedral Cove; Hobbiton, The Hauraki Rail Trail and Rotorua are all within easy driving distances and there is plenty to see and do in the immediate area with the Martha Gold mine in Waihi and Waihi Beach being major attractions. The property also caters very well for honeymoon couples from all over the world. The owners have enjoyed hosting couples from the US, UK, Holland, Sweden, Switzerland, Australia. India and New Zealand. There is something romantic about the beach that works magic on newly weds. Waihi Beach Lodge has 3 king /queen rooms with ensuites and a king studio apartment with its own private bathroom. All rooms have TV, DVD players, robes, slippers, toiletries, cotton linen, table & chairs plus tea & coffee making facilities. All king rooms have a sea view with the studio apartments view being from its deck. The lodge is only 150 metres from the beach. At Waihi Beach there are 4 cafes, a boating club, a pub, an RSA and a couple of great little takeaways to cater for evening meal requirements
